Improvement points (i.e. the missing star): the car was very bad, no safety belt for me, which is mandatory in West African traffic, and the car broke down several times, mostly because of flat tyres. Second, the guesthouse in Monrovia was terrible, and, according to Greg, it has been removed from the itinerary now. Finally, there were no proper preparations for my visit to the Guinee/Bossou Chimp tour, so we went there when no guide was available and had to return without doing the Chimp trek on my wishlist.

We visited Robertsport near the Sierra Leone border. It took about 5 hours from Monrovia, but the drive was so much fun.. all the way on unpaved roads with beautiful scenery. Greg stopped the car several times to show us stunning lakes and trees and he never forgot to take great photos of us
We also went to Grand Bassa in the east and omgoodness!! everyone should visit there… All four of us absolutely loved it
My husband and I are now planning to visit Nimba and if we do, we’ll definitely book with this travel agency again
Highly recommended! 🤎😆

From the moment the tour started, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The team was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the beauty and stories of Liberia. The visit to the ecolodge was a real highlight—peaceful, sustainably run, and surrounded by nature. It offered a chance to disconnect and soak in the natural beauty of the country.
What really stood out was how thoughtfully the tour combined Liberia’s rich history with its incredible landscapes. From historic sites and cultural insights to scenic drives and nature walks, I left with a deeper appreciation for the country and its people.
If you’re visiting Liberia and want a genuine, enriching experience tailored to your interests, Mama Liberia is the way to go. They made my time there absolutely unforgettable.

Spending two days with Greg and Rasheeda was not just a tour, it was a deep dive into Liberian culture, history, and local life. Their passion for what they do is evident in every moment, and their connections across the country add a level of access and authenticity that’s hard to find. As someone who has traveled to over 150 countries, I rarely use tour guides, but this experience reminded me why the right company can completely elevate a trip. Mama Liberia Today is not just a tour operator—they’re storytellers, cultural ambassadors, and professionals who genuinely care about delivering something unforgettable. When I return to this region, Greg will be the first person I call. Go Full nomad approved.

Posted on Mr. Anderson "마이클/Mouse"Verified Explore Mama Liberia Had a great experience touring the city and learning the history of Liberia. Experienced tour guide and knowledgable of the city. Great conversation and most of all relaxed and safe atmosphere.Posted on Navigate49655207344Verified Cultural Tour We may have been a bit unlucky due to booking last minute. Our guide Greg turned up an hour late. The 4 hour cultural tour lasted 3 hours and we were charged 90 Euro each for a tour that was worth no more than 40 Euro each. The promotion of tourism is great but has to work for all parties concerned. We are overland travellers and this was poor value for us.Posted on jork69Verified Well organised and friendly I made a tour with Visit Mama Liberia in December 2025 and was very satisfied with organisation and efficiency. Gregg was a very kind and smart person who gave me a lot of background information about Liberia and the places we visited. The day-trip to Chimps island and Kokon ecolodge is well worth.Posted on TennicaVerified 🏖️ We’ve been living in Liberia for about 10 mths now and recently my sister and her husband from South Korea came to visit us. Even though we’ve been here almost a year, we never really had a chance to travel around Liberia. So my husband searched for a tour company and since this one had so many good reviews, we asked Greg to guide us and it was honestly one of the best decisions we’ve made! We visited Robertsport near the Sierra Leone border. It took about 5 hours from Monrovia, but the drive was so much fun.. all the way on unpaved roads with beautiful scenery. Greg stopped the car several times to show us stunning lakes and trees and he never forgot to take great photos of us We also went to Grand Bassa in the east and omgoodness!! everyone should visit there… All four of us absolutely loved it My husband and I are now planning to visit Nimba and if we do, we’ll definitely book with this travel agency again Highly recommended! 🤎😆Posted on Ivo HVerified Great tour operator, highly recommended Great tour to Robertsport and airport pick up. The guide was very knowledgeable, fun and adaptive to our needs. The online contact was very easy and he was very responsive. Highly recommended if you travel to Liberia.Posted on Sonali PVerified Excellent tour of Monrovia! Great tour experience! Greg was highly knowledgeable and fun tour guide - would recommend this city tour of Monrovia!!Posted on Jerwlue WVerified Nimba hike was breathtaking During our trip across the nimba mountain and Monrovia region with this company was actually good because we saw the bat cave, explore the forest, went hiking plus more.Posted on Pastor Bornor sVerified A Wonderful Historical Experience with Visit Mama Liberia Today! My family and I had an amazing time on the historical city tour with Visit Mama Liberia Today! The trip was well-organized, educational, and full of beautiful sights. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome everywhere we went. We learned so much about Liberia’s rich culture and history while enjoying every moment together.
